We here at SNÖBAHN love our employees and we want to show you why. Every month we will feature a Q&A with one of our employees so you can get to know more about them. Get to know another one of our Assistant Managers, Harry Carrothers. Born here in Denver, Harry grew up skiing and snowboarding.
How long have you worked at SNÖBAHN?
Since April 2016, so about a year and a half. I am a manager here.
How long have you been skiing?
I grew up skiing and snowboarding. I'm a skier now but I'm a way better snowboarder than skier.
What made you decide to work at SNÖBAHN?
I've moved back to Denver from Vail and one of my former co-workers knows SNÖBAHN owner, Sadler Merrill. I was bartending on South Broadway and looking for a "grownup job" so I was looking around interviewing at banks. But then my buddy told me about SNÖBAHN and I knew I had to get involved. It's been amazing.
What is your favorite part about working with SNÖBAHN?
I like that I get to wear a lot of different hats. I get to teach on the slope, I get to do bar inventory and maintenance. Every day's a different thing. It's never the same exact job which is great for my sanity.
What's your favorite mountain to ski?
Vail. I have a connection there, too. My grandparents had a house there way early on before it was a big resort. My mom and all her siblings were ski instructors at Vail.
What are you looking forward to most at SNÖBAHN?
The freestyle center, which is opening this month. I’ve never been great at tricks and I can’t wait to get better.
